Social Worker - LAC

Medicare First is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time working within a Looked After Children team based in Bolton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is upto £21.46 per hour and is an initial 3 month contract.

Social worker duties include:
-Working directly with service users employing a range of social work knowledge, skills, methods and techniques.

-Working with Legal Services and the Courts, including the production of reports within agreed timescales.

-Attending reviews, case conferences, core groups and provide the appropriate advice, information and support to such forums.

-Planning, implementation and review of care plans for children looked after.

Requirements of the social worker:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current HCPC registration
2 years post qualified with experience within local authority childrens team
