Brogdale Farm Visit

As part of our Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Medicare First’s latest volunteering event took place on Thursday 12 April. A group of 6 employees teamed up with a local charity (Blackfriars Settlement Community Centre) and were tasked with supporting visually impaired and vulnerable members to Brogdale Farm, Faversham, Kent. They became eyes when needed, a hand to hold and most importantly a friend to chat with. The day was a great success and our volunteers found it to be an extremely rewarding experience, which it is hoped, will be repeated again in the future. Our thanks go to the wonderful members of Blackfriars Settlement Older People group and, of course, to Tina Johnston, the organiser of the trip for the wonderful welcome and for making it such a memorable occasion and a day to remember.

Medicare First gets set to go the extra mile for Sport Relief 2012
As the nation celebrates the biggest ever year of sport, we at Medicare First are proud to announce we will be supporting Sport Relief 2012.

Sport Relief is warming up for another huge night of fundraising and on Friday 23 March, our office at Two London Bridge will transform into a dedicated Sport Relief Call Centre. With the help of an incredible team of volunteers from Medicare First we are set to receive donation calls which will hopefully change lives at home and across the world’s poorest countries.

It will be a fantastic fun night for us all at Medicare First and, more importantly, we hope it will be a successful record breaking evening for the charity.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for the diligent service provided my consultant. I found him to be a very friendly and thorough professional. He always kept me informed of the progress of my applications and carried out his work with enthusiasm. He is very client centred, attentive and hard working, most of all he has been a great pleasure to work with.

My consultant is excellent, understanding, very good consultant – so interested in her job and has keen interest in people. Her people skills are the highest level
Even when I’m not well she will call me, she has a great personality and she makes me feel so valued. I am looking for work but I know I am ok because she is my consultant

Since you have been my Consultant for almost 5 years, you have provided me with gold star support to which I deeply appreciate. I can not praise you enough for your on-going support and communication in my best interest in finding me the role I have required. You have always provided me with feed-back in respect of job opportunities, speedy fed-back from interviews, troubleshooting e.g. timesheet or other difficulties matters etc.
I just like to stay thank you for your undying support over the years and our excellent working relationship. I would just like to know that you are the best Consultant in the world. Long may our working relationship continue.

The service through Medicare First is a lot friendlier and approachable than other agencies I have worked with. I hope to have further posts through Medicare First in the future.

I would like to write and formally acknowledge the hard work and dedication that my occupational therapist consultant has to her position at Medicare First.
I have been working with her for 2 years now and over that time she has been an incredible source of support and advice. Over this time I have also worked as an OT for other agencies and she still makes herself available to me if I am ever in need of any advice, assistance, etc. She is always cheerful, honest, friendly and most importantly very genuine in her nature.
I have recommended Medicare First to many of my friends and colleagues and this is based almost entirely on the fact that my consultant is such a good consultant to work with.
I would also like to acknowledge her whole occupational therapy team in this letter, I have not worked directly with them as consultants however all my dealings with them have also been of a very high standard and they are also very friendly, considerate and honest with me.

Had a great experience, thank you! As it was my first time working in London social services it was a very daunting prospect. My consultant offered great support at all times through the process, from guiding me through the application process and helping ascertain my needs, to support and encouragement when waiting for my CRB to return, right through the placement, she was always available for assistance or just a friendly ear.
